The Val di Casies is a side valley of the Val Pusteria Rieserfernergruppe and the Defreggeralpen. The 20 km long valley branches with Monguelfo the north side to S. Maddalena, a well removed road leads off by the far and sunny valley, past at the localities Colle, S. Martino and S. Maddalena. The lowest place Colle lies on 1260 m sea level, S. Maddalena on 1400 m. The far, calm valley offers relaxation, a beatifully nature, good air and an intact culture landscape.
